The Martian "Omnirama": The Story of a Discovery- Part Two

MGS 06304

Alas, this is one of those times where the particular accentuation of brightness and darkness resulting from equalization has just not been good to the specific search. There's still little sign of the face that we expect to find beneath that set of huge ears. I may even have to haul out the "big guns" and resort to contrast or gamma adjustments to "turn down the brightness" so we can see what's really under all that brightness...

Here is the drop-down menu for the "color" controls again on the program that I use. If I had placed the pointer on adjust, the side menu would have popped out with the only other imaging tools I use, and the constrast and other related controls would be at the ready...

Still, even though more strange detail is becoming apparent, I still don't see any sign of a face, and I just know it should be there... meanwhile, I've started to notice something ever so slighly like a face over on the right, perhaps looking down, but I'm probably being silly. I'm going to use the negative control here, though, to see if I can't get a look at any features of a face beneath the obvious ears...

Can you believe this? Still no face under the ears... but I still see what could be several faces, and now in the negative, the face over on the left has finally gotten just a little too insistent to ignore. I'm going to do something that I do pretty rarely (I probably should do it more often, actually) namely rotate the image 180 degrees- turn it right upside-down- and see if it doesn't create a better perspective...

Hmmm... is it looking any more like a face now? Heh heh heh... Ladies and gentlemen, I think I'm going to rotate that back ninety degrees for an upright profile, and then get out the clear colors that came with my $59 dollar scanner's software (The stuff I used exculsively for my first few dozen discoveries, in case you though anomaly hunting had to be expensive), and see if I can make that face look a little more life-like.

But even then, I'm about to be VERY surprised...
