Dr. Bruce Cornet's "Cydonia II" discoveries seem to show another ancient replica of the Cydonia site in North America. Curiously, the links on my Solar System Anomalies I & II sites can no longer get you this information. After announcing his "retirement" from UFOlogy and other fringe matters, it is in fact only the Cydonia II material which has been removed from both his website and its mirror, and read that the Cydonia II report is now "archived and unavailable". Gratefully, this much of a confirmation remains, and some of us have saved the material to disc. While I don't have Dr. Cornet's permission to reproduce his text, images, or maps here, I will be able to disclose the relevant information here shortly from the saved data- including the geographic coordinates that may be so critical in unlocking many more ancient mysteries of Mars and the Earth.
There is one more correspondence thus far that I am aware of having been found. Holger Isenberg brought to my attention Daniel Perez's pages showing an incredible correspondence to Cydonia that appears to have been created much later in Earth's history, in the most important monuments of Washington, D.C.!
It's not entirely surprising, nor are we at a loss for where our founding fathers would have gotten this information, since Baigent and Leigh's "The Temple and the Lodge" illustrate for us how, when and where the Templars seemingly evolved quickly into the Masons, and the connection of the early American statesmen and the Masonic Lodges is quite well known. Benjamin Franklin's association to the mysteries of Rennes-le-Chateau may be even closer than that of other statemen, for his diplomatic tenure in France may have brought him into direct contact with the Priory of Sion, apparent outstanding heirs of the Martian mysteries. Franklin is also noted to have returned to America with exactly the expectable zeal for matters Masonic.
Baigent and Leigh illustrate several octagons integrated into the planning of the capitol, octagons which both encircle intersections of streets forming the Templar cross- yet another Templar-Mason connection.
Daniel Perez, however, has taken the matter a much greater step forward in finding the correspondences between the layout of Washington D.C. and the surrounding area, and the Monuments of Cydonia, Mars. Holger Isenberg has noted that the White House not only corresponds to the Face on Mars as we see in Daniel's disclosure, but that in fact from the aerial view it even looks like a face!
I have taken the liberty of superimposing over Daniel's map showing additional sacred designs (shown in light yellow), a number of other possible "esoteric" designs, in the form of seven possible Kaballic "Tree of Life" designs that may be integrated into the city's plan as well. While the occurence of Kaballic elements into Templar works may sound incongrous, careful study of the planetary correspondences of the points of the Trees, and how they occur in relation to each other and other elements of the design, may spell out some subtle but interesting messages, and perhaps help point to the legitimacy and deliberacy of such additional elements.
A symbolic system which has planetary correspondences is a powerful tool to create allusions of planets of the solar system, and the Tree of Life is indeed quite possible the most elegant and least cumbersome to use for such a purpose as we suggested here.
At present, only this slightly bungled first-draft version of the seven trees is available for presentation... a second, more correct version has yet to be prepared. Hopefully though, it gets the point across. This does not include, however, the other Masonic Symbols in this street plan seen in the plates of Baigent and Leigh's "The Temple and the Lodge"...
At left is an aerial image of Bolivia, one I used on my "Monuments of Venus" page for a reality check whether the "scratchings" on the surface of Venus are really as random or natural as they might look. This system of connections has many ancient sacred sites of Bolivia as its "nodes", and perhaps this image being featured in "The New View Over Atlantis" is to mean that these path also correspond to the ancient ley lines, in the univeral ancient fashion that seems to have coordinated the design of mankind's undertakings.
At right is an old design based on the ley lines that can also be found in "The New View Over Atlantis". Notice the remarkable similarity to the steet layouts and intersections in the old map of Washington, D.C.
Here is the text that originally accompanied the image in a post to kksamurai's Mars BBS on Aug 2, 1999. A post on July 28, 1999 includes detailed comments on the study of the Washington D.C. map that will appear here shortly due to the limited life of BSS back posts before eventual deletion (you may want to save the post for future reference just in case).
"Illustrations:
A- Excerpt from Baigent and Leigh, "The Temple and The Lodge": "English Masonic Knights Templar apron c. 1800"
The skull and crossbones are associated with Masonic motifs, but this particular example may have some interesting internal geometry, extending perhaps as far as the contents of figure E here.
The features may coordinate the placement of a second triangle to form the double triangle of TEM fame, and the particular, or a similar, form of the serpent shown above may be seen on Mars and in some other known and probably extraterrestial-related artifacts from diverse cultures.
B- Excerpt from Baigent and Leigh, "The Temple and The Lodge", Plate 24: "The Creator as Divine Architect of the Universe, as depicted in this early fourteenth-century Holkham Bible. This concept originates with Plato's
Timaeus"
Note the configuration of two elipses within the halo and two orbits and orbitals. While this suggests a precocious alchemist's symbol for deuterium (Pauwels and Bergier in "Morning of the Magicians" suggest that the alchemist's refinements could theoretically extract deuterium from the normal concentrations of D20 in ordinary water) the actual role of deuterium in alchemic feats may never have been clearly postulated- which alone may allow default of the symbol to indicate Mars and its moons, Deimos and Phobos.
Certain subtle features suggest the bisection the angle of the Masonic compass. Allowing it the preferred suggest angle of 90* yeilds the degree to such such Martian features as the Meridiani face and its crater's "twin" appear rotated from a N-S axis.
C- Excerpt from Baigent and Leigh, "The Temple and The Lodge", Plate 7: "Kilmory, undated gravestone. Above the warrior's head is a masonic set square. Below is a Templar-style cross forming part of the carved pattern."
This single gesture constitutes a solid physical indication of the direct connection of the Templars and Masons, the latter evolving out of the former, in addition to the other evidence submitted by Baigent and Leigh in this particular work.
These two peices of evidence can be extracted from figure E with possible support from secondary alignments and intersections.
Kilmory is only one of a conspicuous number of proper names surrounding the transition point between the Templars and the Masons to have the "Mar"s root, including some which have a double occurance of it. Are some of these names suggestive fabrications, or names whose selection was influenced by extraterrestial knowledge of the Templars?
D- Excerpt from George Adamski's sample of "Venusian Writing", cropped and focussing on drawing. Templar cross is superimposed in color.
Conceptually and contextually capable of suggesting the basic principles of Adamski's proposed magnetic propulsion system, the cardinal symbol here can also be seen as a form of the Masonic cross in example C. This type of stylizing of the Templar Cross may associate Templar cross may associate the Templars with many other traditions than commonly recognized.
The signification of the cardinal points has long been part of endless numbers of "esoteric" earth traditions, and may pertain to certain difficulties of magnets possessing only two poles, some of which can be explored with simple and inexpensive bar magnets placed in various postions.
At the same time, this quadrature can refer to the composite graviton theory which Tom Bearden seems to have extrapolated from Martin Ruderfer's photon theory.
At least one of these concepts would seem strangely precocious to have been concious on Adamski's part.
While Adamski's reports may seem controversial or contrived, could he have been introducing Masonic or Templar knowledge though deliberately questionable but sensationalist material? Can he be affiliated in some way with the Orders in question? Can a working understanding of his diagram be supplimented by the knowledge surrounding these Orders?
E- My original geometric study of kksamuria's Meridiani Face, re-used from the surviving jpeg version, producing additional blur. The old lines as well as the new ones have been crudely and hastily placed but the relationships suggested may be valid. It has in fact been altered only very slightly from the original effort in order to make this point.
The possible occurance of both several Masonic squares, and the Templar cross, from the projection of the geometry are shown here in color-filled areas.
Had previous cultures used these symbols to "sign" certain key works of extraterrestial architectures? Had the Masons and Templars knowingly adapted these symbols from an example such as this?
Were they aware of the Meridiani face as they seemed to be aware of the Cydonia and other faces, at times incorporating them subtly into their artwork (i.e. Sauniere's Stations of the Cross, Priory of Zion related paintings, etc.)? Was this sign also used in the past as Adamski may have used to it- to convey critical concepts about spacetravel and propulsion, in addition to the means of identification that it served?
Does the Meridiani face fufill the minimum utilitarian objective of not just announcing an extraterrestial presence but eventually making any necessary faciliation of the ability for peoples in such communication to communicate further, and ultimately, to commute?
Could the peculiar double-triangle experimentally added here some how be "the right" one- a particularly meaningful form of this Cydonia symbol?
All purely speculation... or is it?"
Not to be overlooked is that since the time of that writing, another Meridiani-like compound cluster of faces has been found in a remarkable Viking image, that seems to have more serious hints of the right-angling of the Square, or that George Haas & the Cydonia Institute's "Two Face" manuscript identifies the Masonic compass-and-square motif as one of the forms at Cydonia, revealed through the "mirrored-half" technique of ancient form analysis for which so much evidence and support has accumulated that there is now exceedly little doubt that such a style of symmetry analysis, and the products of applying it, should be taken very seriously by both the archaeological and anomalist communities.
Amongst the connections between the Templars and Masons that we can find in Baigent and Leigh's "The Temple and the Lodge", many of them also seem to be very strong possibilities of a connection between both of these orders to the ancient knowledge of Mars and its mysteries... But these aren't the only possible connections...
