This is an image where kksamurai has found a number of anomalies already. A page of his Mars site is devoted to this Viking image from Eastern Candor, appearing here from its MGS Viking context image version.
"KK", as we call him, has long advised people through his website that this image merits further serious study, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't kidding around one bit.
This image also deserves still more than the casual study I've given it as an independent follow-up.
A clearly-cut Cydonia-like headdressed face, where the headdress branches out at the upper sides, can be seen near the left border. Other related but fainter forms are apparently present.
The lime green "serpent" or "sea-monster" head near center might be downright laughable, naieve, or pendantic until you stop and consider that this is exceedingly close to the characteristic face and mouth structure of an Olmec design where a second head sits atop a first.
This particular Olmec jade carving from Tabasco, seems to have its design imitated in large form that occur on both Mars and the moon, forming the central basis of the "Mars-Moon-Mesoamerican Connection" website material that I am presently preparing, and the distinctive form referred to here has at least one second appearance in perhaps surprisingly idsparate ancient Mesoamerican art.
That KK has suggested that a large structure, uncolored here but explored on his website may be an "Olmec temple" may find surprising support through this possible occurance of Olmec art in the immediate vicinity.
